YARD TRANSPARENCY

Editorial and comedy policy

The voice is salty. The calculations are sober. This page marks the channel between documented fact and the fog bank of Thistlewack legend.

TECHNICAL CONTENT

Equations should survive the joke

Articles and tools dealing with buoyancy, displacement, water density, stability, and race rules are intended as educational technical content. Important claims are stated plainly, linked to recognizable sources when available, and dated when published or materially revised.

Calculators use simplified models and disclose their assumptions. They are design aids, not professional marine engineering, water-safety advice, or a substitute for event rules and qualified supervision.

DOCUMENTED FACTS

Records have receipts

Race dates, published rules, and award claims are tied to organizer notices, certificates, photographs, or other yard records. If a public source changes or an error is found, the yard corrects the page and updates its revision date.

THE COMEDY LINE

Patent numbers may contain seawater

The Thistlewack Patent Registry, ancestral exploits, supernatural warranties, and similarly grand claims are satire. They are not representations of issued patents, government recognition, professional licensure, or historical events unless a page explicitly provides supporting evidence.

Capt. Dan's voice may be magnificently overconfident. Commercial scope, availability, pricing, safety, race rules, and technical formulas are not fabricated for the sake of that voice.

AUTHORSHIP & CORRECTIONS

Ask the yard

Technical field papers identify their author, publication date, sources, and related calculator or method page. Questions, corrections, source suggestions, and challenges to the Captain's arithmetic may be sent to info@thistlewack.com.
