COMMISSIONS & CONSULTATION

Bring the race. We will begin the reckoning.

For families, crews, artists, and determined first-time builders who would prefer their cardboard naval architecture to begin with a practiced pencil.

THE BRIEF

Every commission starts with the rulebook

Send the official race rules, date, course, crew weight, transport constraints, and the ambitions of the livery. Those facts determine what materials are legal, how much reserve volume is needed, and whether the schedule is plausible.

A commission is not confirmed by sending an email. The yard reviews each inquiry for timing, rules, location, and the ability to produce something worthy of Capt. Dan's entirely self-issued seal.

POSSIBLE CHARTERS

From calculation to complete vessel

Depending on the race and schedule, an inquiry may concern design consultation, a build plan, a collaborative workshop, or a complete custom vessel. Availability, scope, and terms are established directly with the yard.

  • Buoyancy and hull-dimension reckoning
  • Corrugated structure and construction planning
  • Race-rule review and pre-launch inspection
  • Custom livery of appropriate nautical seriousness

REQUEST A REVIEW

Send the particulars

Include your name, race or event, date, location, number and approximate weight of paddlers, build-versus-commission preference, and a link containing the official rules. The cloud harbor office will issue a reference number and preserve the inquiry for Capt. Dan.
